Update on Urangoo

Many of you have asked about how Urangoo is doing. She appreciates your continuing interest and love. She is out of the hospital and has been staying with Otgo Carter's family for the past two weeks. She can't have many guests since her immune system is not strong. It is just a matter of time before the cancer returns and she will need further treatment. LDS Hospial has been reaching out to a Hospital in India in hopes of further treatment there for a much lower cost.

Here are the amounts that have been raised as of today 11/05/2009:

This web site: $28435.61
UVU international council: $ 3040.50
Kung Fu Show: $ 4125.00
Chicago concert for Urangoo: $ 2735.00
Matsu Restaurant Fundraiser: $ 4500.00

Total of $42836.11 Even if Urangoo goes to India this is still not enough money for treatment there. We do appreciate all the support thus far. Please keep spreading the word and attaching this link for KSL video: http://www.ksl.com/index.php?nid=148&sid=8505904

Thanks and god bless.

Update on Urangoo's condition

Last week Urangoo was transferred to ICU because she couldn't breathe on her own. They did some tests to find out she had pneumonia in both lungs and infection in her blood and intestines. They put a tube in her lungs so she could breath with a machine. She was in critical condition due to these complications. She stayed in ICU for a week but now she is back in oncology. They are treating her infections with antibiotics. After they clear the infections they will then start further treatment. Her last biopsy test showed that she still has 7% cancer cells...Urangoo is still fighting to save her life. The fundraising from this site is now at $13460. We still need to keep working and spreading the word. Please continue your support. Thank you so much for your help

Give the gift of life

Our dear friend, Urangoo Baatarkhuyag was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia on Sept 5, 2009. She came to Provo, Utah from Mongolia when she was just 18 years old to attend Utah Valley University. A little less than a year ago, she was awarded a Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Drafting and graduated with honors . She had her whole life ahead of her with a bright future but everything she ever dreamed in life shattered by this terrible news.
The blood test results showed leukemia cancer cells spread in the blood stream and deteriorated her immunity. After chemotherapy treatments during these last few days at the LDS hospital in Salt Lake City, the cancerous cells are still found active and further damaged the chromosomes. She is predicted to live few months unless she undergoes an immediate bone marrow transplant which is an extremely expensive procedure.
The procedure can’t be performed at any medical facility since she has no health insurance. The fees must be paid upfront. Time is ticking away as she lays in bed; hoping and praying in unbearable pain. Please, make a donation and help us save her life.
It costs over $350,000 in the US. She has about 60% survival rate if the procedure is carried out. Our goal is to raise $350,000 to cover the initial cost. She needs our help and generosity to live and smile again. Please, give her the gift of life and donate what you can; every dollar will count and make a difference. Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity. God bless.

It is safe, secure and fast to donate through PayPal but if you don't feel comfortable entering your credit card information online, please, make your donation at a local Wellsfargo branch to account# 3674550946. Thank you.
